Granitumi at Monaco Yacht Show:
Navigating the Waters of Networking and Sustainability
Last week two members of the Granitumi team, Natalia Akerlund – the Co-founder and Anna Vashakmadze – Marketing Specialist, embarked on an exciting journey to the Monaco Yacht Show. This world-renowned event was not just about admiring luxurious yachts but also about diving into the latest viable and advanced innovations in sustainable solutions for yachting at the Sustainability Hub exhibition. Forging valuable connections, attending a panel discussion on Yachting Towards a Cleaner Future led by Julien Thiel, Founder of Deasyl Innovation Green Chemistry, and even planning an upcoming podcast with Julien himself was part of the plan!
The Monaco Yacht Show, known for its opulence and extravagance, offered our team a unique opportunity to expand our horizons beyond the realm of IT Consulting. While we couldn’t resist being awestruck by the stunning yachts lining the harbor, our focus was firmly set on exploring the growing interest in sustainable practices within the maritime industry.
One of the highlights of our trip was attending a conference dedicated to sustainable fuel. With climate change concerns on the rise, it was encouraging to see industry players come together to address the environmental impact on yachting. The discussions were insightful, emphasizing the importance of eco-friendly solutions in an industry often associated with excess.
Networking at the Monaco Yacht Show was an enriching experience for us. We had the privilege of meeting a diverse group of people, each with their own unique perspectives and backgrounds. These interactions offered valuable insights and the potential for future collaborations. It was refreshing to engage with individuals who shared a genuine passion for sustainability and innovation.
We are inspired to continue our mission of making a positive impact in the IT Consulting industry while keeping sustainability at the forefront of our efforts.
One notable encounter was with Julien Thiel, the founder of Deasyl. Our discussions revolved around our shared interest in sustainability and its relevance to our respective industries. We are excited to announce that we are in the early stages of planning a podcast with Julien, where we will delve deeper into the intersection of technology, consulting and sustainability.
Monaco Yacht Show was more than just a glamorous event. It served as a platform for Granitumi to explore new horizons, connect with like-minded individuals and engage in meaningful discussions about sustainability. As we return from this adventure, we are inspired to continue our mission of making a positive impact in the IT Consulting industry while keeping sustainability at the forefront of our efforts.
